Photographs, Fiji Expedition, Structures, 1941

 Item — Box: 14, Folder: 6

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

This series contains photographs from Degener’s Cheng Ho Fiji Islands trip (1941) Some were labeled as meant for Degener’s book on the Fiji Islands and other island groups, but unlabeled ones appear to be of the same type as the labeled ones. One of the folders in this series (FF 1c: Photographs – general – folder 3 of 3) contains most or all of the photographs used in Degener’s Naturalist’s South Pacific Expedition: Fiji.

We have attempted to organize photographs in the “Fiji Expedition” subseries according to each photo’s apparent main subject (some may contain both Fijians and Structures, for instance, and we have placed them into the category that seems to be the prominent theme of the photograph).

Photo sleeves have been reused – Any writing found on photo sleeves is unintentional and does not describe the photo(s) in the sleeve.
