This collection contains Cook's correspondence, especially from David Grandison Fairchild (1869–1954) (30 letters). Many letters refer to Cook's interest in palms and his related research activities. The collection also contains journal reprints, Cook's notes and clippings on the agriculture and civilization of indigenous peoples of North and South America (340 pages), and a 33 page manuscript Citrus Fruits in Porto Rico from the U.S.D.A. Division of Botany Bulletin.
