Ida Kaplan Langman (1904–1991) was a botanist and bibliographer, especially interested in the history and bibliography of Mexican plants. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master's in Botany, and in 1964 published the book A Selected Guide to the Literature on the Flowering Plants of Mexico, her best known work, through the University of Pennsylvania Press. This publication, alongside her other botanical contributions, earned her awards and honors including the Oberly Memorial Award of the American Library Association for "best bibliography submitted in the field of agriculture or the related sciences" and a medal for special contribution to Mexican botany from the Botanical Society of Mexico. Langman also worked for the Hunt Institute from 1970 to 1973 as associate bibliographer, during which time she compiled a global list of botanical encyclopedias publsihed between 1730 and 1840.
