Biographical / Historical
John "Jack" Lilbern Reveal (1912–1988), father of James Lauritz Reveal (1941–2014), was a botanist who got his start in forestry, studying at the University of Idaho and working for the Forest Service on various jobs as part of the Civilian Conservation Corps throughout the 1930s. What we know of his botany career mostly took place in concert with his son, with whom he collected plants in California and Nevada.
