This collection holds an 812 page (plus an 18 page table of contents) manuscript entitled "Livre et Traitté des Medicamments par Mr de Tournefort" (Book and Treatise on Medicines by Mr. de Tournefort) writen in an unknown hand. The contents are a copy of Tournefort's Traité de la Matière Médicale, ou L'Histoire et L'Usage des Médicamens et Leur Analuse Chimique (published in english as Materia Medica, or a Description of Simple Medicines Generally Us'd in Physick), a collection of Tournefort's lectures at the Collège Royal and the Jardin des Plantes. This manuscript holds largely the same content, but is not a one-to-one copy of the work (based on a comparison of this manuscript to an english copy of Tournefort's work).
