Scope and Contents

Most letters in this collection are from fellow pteridologist Ralph Curtiss Benedict (1883–1965) and concern American Fern Society meetings, Cobb's own study of ferns, and his health. Included is a copy of one reply (11 August 1962) to Benedict from Cobb. Several references to Rolla Milton Tryon Jr. (1916–2001) are made in these letters.
