This collection consists of 4 folders of notes, both handwritten and typed, primarily concerning the planting and growth of cotton. The first folder contains notes from a 1919 trip to China, and contains materials that were evidently intended for a large publication on cotton growth in China, which was never completed. Besides the notes which comprise the bulk of the collection, there are also other sparse materials such as photographs and manuscript drafts.
